Welcome to Cobblestone Fiber Designs

Discover the AMAZING world of Fiber!

Cobblestone Fiber Designs is owned and operated small business by Ashli located in the Finger Lakes region of New York.

Cobblestone Fiber Designs, previously known as Cobblestone Alpacas, started in 2015 as a creative outlet for me. Since then, I’ve learned so much about the fiber world and have grown from only selling hand woven scarves and knitted fingerless gloves to selling all sorts of handmade fiber products, writing and publishing pattern books, creating jewelry, jumping on the cricut bandwagon, developing and designing festival booth layouts and displays, and dabbling in cold process soaps, lotion bars, and candles.

Does the creative ever stop? Nope. I am always feeling inspired and that’s when magic happens.

In 2022, I began learning more about sustainability and living a no waste life style. I have become a firm believer in the Soil to Soil project created by a company named FiberShed. In the next five years (by 2030), Cobblestone Fiber Designs (CFD) will convert from store bought yarns to 100% locally sourced yarns and fabrics to create product with. This new direction means I will be phasing out environmentally harmful yarns including acrylic, polyester, rayon, and other heavily petroleum produced yarns. Instead, CFD will embrace alpaca, sheep wool, cotton, linen, yak, quivet, angora, cashmere, and more natural fibers to create beautiful items with.

In 2020, my life changed dramatically for the better, I became a mom to a wonderful baby girl. Now, in 2025, I have three wonderful kids who are my entire world! I love being their mom so much and want to be able to spend all my days with them.

2025 is already proving to be a crazy year in my personal life. I am making major shifts in my life which will effect the way I use this website. I intend to get more personal and uncomfortable in hopes that my crazy will inspire and help others. I hope you will stick it out with me for the bumpy ride.

Be sure to check out my calendar and come visit at my festivals this year!
